I’m thrilled to post my very first cinemagraph!! Amazed that it worked out as well as it did, though I still have a bit to learn about the looping flow. I know the horizon isn’t straight; I hadn’t thought of shooting for this and my tripod was stored safely in my garage. Sitting on the ground, my tripod was my right leg, which apparently is bigger on the right side than the left…
A cinemagraph is a still image in which only selected parts of the image move.
To illustrate, there are a few blades of grass on the lower part of the image, only one blade sways in the wind. I just couldn’t believe my luck when a bird flew through the scene as I was shooting… bonus.
I had so much fun with this, that I’m sure I’ll be posting more in the future. Love learning new things.
