Chantal modeled in the same workshop that Louis did, and when editing her shots, I couldn’t decide whether I liked the images better in color or black & white. Dark makeup, specifically the red lipstick, was used to make her features pop out in a black and white photograph.
I’m leaning towards the black and white images as my favorites….

The straight on shots – black and white.
In the ones to the side, your eye is drawn more to the black make up on her eye – it looks out of place on the side view – but perfect in the straight on shots.
I think the straight on shot works better in colour, and the other one in black and white.
